Dear Doctor, a mere thank you wouldnt be sufficient to express my gratitude towards you. You were gods gift and divine intervention to me. Thapain and agony I was in just yesterday was unfathomable . Then you came. Anyone reading this review, I just had my discectomy done by the good Doctor and he saved me. Words are not good enough to appreciate his knowledge and expertise and the compassion he showed to me. All the blessings of the world to you Sir

I have read the reviews of Doctor Lofler and some reviews say he is outstanding and other reviews say his service is not so good and one person said he was inhumane. My wife and I attended his surgery recently after being referred to him by another orthopaedic doctor. My wife suffers from chronic pain around the neck and her GP and her physiotherapist believe she has a pinched nerve or nerves. Doctor Lofler did not say hello when we arrived. He looked at the MRI scan of my wifes spine and said that there was wear on the discs of the spine (I had noted that the report on the MRI scan said that bone spurs had grown in the spine and these could push on the nerves causing nerve pain). He said that her spine was fairly normal for a person off her age and that the report on the MRI scan could overstate the problem and that he was a surgeon and operating on spines was a big operation and in my wifes case an operation was not warranted. He advised my wife to remedy her pain by going swimming and attend yoga classes. When I advised him my wife could not swim (she from a poor part of Asia) he advised her to have swimming lessons and said that if you take your grandchildren swimming you need to be able to swim to save them. He told my wife she should be happy she does not have cancer. These remarks seem typical of Doctor Lofler after reading other reviews. We visited our GP this week and she is referring my wife to a neurosurgeon. The GP was amazed at Doctor Loflers comments. As my wifes case is a workers compensation case, and the insurance company is taking my wifes problems seriously, the insurance company paid his fees. My wifes case manager at the insurance company was also amazed by Doctor Loflers comments and the case manager also agreed that my wife see a neurosurgeon. I just thought that we were not important enough for Doctor Lofler. His consultation lasted maybe 10 minutes and I cannot recall him asking my wife what sort of pain she is in although he could have asked her. He could have told us to seek opinion from a neurosurgeon, he said my wife should go swimming and do yoga. Unbelievable

Botched my L4/L5 discectomy which we paid for out of pocket as he refused to go public and wouldn't even look me in the eye and acknowledge I had spent 3 years still in pain due to his mistake/insufficient skills as a surgeon. Then told me he wouldn't operate again and said to look at a pain management plan. I was 26 years old, young and healthy and ready to get fixed. What he told me made me want to just give up and end it all. After asking around I decided to get other opinions from some other experts in the field. One appointment with a professional, young neurosurgeon at the royal north shore and he is 100% confident I will be pain free after he operates and cleans up the 'mess left here from the last operation' Dinosaurs like Loefler shouldn't be allowed to keep operating, do yourself a favor and find a surgeon who cares, not this excuse for a health professional. Hey Dr, if you do read this, I'll never forget what you said to me. Please stop causing pain and retire already.
