Fawkner Park Toddler Playground

There's varying levels of grass carpet as well as structures like steps and concrete. Scattered ball like statues around, some rough, some smooth. BBQ facilities (no cover) and toilet nearby. It looks fun for toddlers but my toddler got pretty bored with it pretty quickly lol but the good thing about this park is there's 2 other unique playgrounds nearby! If you're with a pram, make sure to take the tram to/from Fawkner park stop (has stop for both directions), Walsh st stop (even though closer to the other playgrounds) is not accessible.

One of 2 playgrounds in Fawkner Park. Half playground half art installation, this is a small one designated and beautifully designed for toddlers. Sandpit, climbing stairs, artificial grass crawling area with interesting lumps and bumps etc. The whole are is gorgeous with interesting and sculptural details like the concrete spheres embedded in the ground with leaves embossed in the surfaces that represent the trees in the area. So kids can play match the leaf games looking for leaves on the ground to match the various spheres, each one being different. As well as a chrome/mirrored sphere embedded in the centre that kids can see themselves and their surrounds in, a giant fisheye lens. The whole are is shaded by many beautiful trees, especially in autumn. There are a couple of Barbeques adjacent and half a dozen or so tables and benches sprinkled around. BBQs were Immaculately clean and sparkling when I visited. There are also rubbish disposal bins and toilets are nearby, around 100 metres. A larger playground for older children is located South of here near the primary school.
