Our second visit was as enjoyable as our first. The service is fast and courteous and the food is really excellent, well priced and with a good range of menu options including plenty of vegetarian choices. They were also happy to make variations to the dishes. Fairy Mountain is a jewel of the Dandenongs and in my opinion one of the best of the many Chinese restaurants in and around Melbourne.
They have been open since 1986 and at this address since 2008, and interestingly the family also used to run the much-missed Chinatown Cinema in Melbourne where I spent many a happy hour with the works of Jackie Chan, Jet Li and Stephen Chow, among others.
