Essendon ENT- Mr Anthony J Guiney

If I could give less than 1 star I would. I saw Dr Guiney for my son early 2022 paid full price, finished work/school early to get there. The receptionist was so rude and made to wait 1 hour to see him. We booked his surgery for 12 Dec 22 because he was away mid year. We were informed recently Mr Guiney is taking early leave and wont be able to attend my sons surgery in Dec with no other available dates, unless it was during exam time which wouldn't suit us. There was zero care factor from the receptionist after waiting all year to have Dr Guiney do this surgery. We have seen another ENT specialist recently and the service has been amazing.

From the moment I walked into this clinic with my family I was made to feel uncomfortable and unwelcome at reception. I was spoken to as if I didnt understand the English language - I was horrified. In my opinion this probably isnt the best environment for children. We later saw Dr June Choo in Moonee Ponds where the service from beginning to end was outstanding. Sorry Dr Guiney - after a 25 year span of servicing our family you have lost us, as a patient and human being I expect a certain level of respect especially in exchange for my patronage.

Dr Guiney was extremely pleasant, knowledgeable & very professional. He showed empathy for all that I'm going through. I would recommend him for advise, follow up & any specialised treatment you may need.
