Saltus Luxury Accommodation

Rooms: Great space on the bedroom area. King size bed. Not the greatest bed but we do have back issues. But we managed for the few nights we were there. Power right near bed if required. Toilet and bathroom in close proximity to bed. Nearby activities: Spas nearby as well as the Hepburn springs reserve for a walk in the bush. Nearby theatre as well. Walkability: Nearby restaurants, small amount of shops, theatre, bush walks, spas and other hotels. Lots to relax and access.

We stayed in Saltus 1, which is one of the upstairs apartments. Beautiful space, with lots of light and a serene green outlook. The apartment was spacious, with everything you need to have a comfortable stay. Is it weird that I really liked the smooshy green carpet? Yeah, probably, but it was lovely, and created a nice sense of continuity with the greenery outside. The layout of the apartment was great - open plan, and beautiful views from everywhere. The kitchen was well appointed, and I liked the full-size fridge. We didnt need to use the fire, but I imagine curling up in front of the fireplace in the middle of winter on the big comfy lounge would be amazing. Location is good, and it was a nice surprise to be greeted with a hamper of goodies and a bottle of wine. Check-in was easy I was a bit worried by some previous reviews, but we had no issues at all. There were a few areas that I think could be improved: - the fridge door beeped every time it was opened. Not after it was open for a bit too long, but as soon as it was opened. This thwarted my midnight snacking. - the toilet door didnt lock. - it had an amazing massive bathtub that looked out over the trees, and I was looking forward to having a soak, but once I started to fill it, I realised it was going to take ages to fill and would probably be cold by the time it was full. So I gave up the dream. - the water flow was just weird in general (in both the shower and the bath). If you want it hotter, the water pressure/volume drops to a dribble, but if you want more pressure/volume, you end up with a tepid/cold water flow. Bizarre. Anyway, overall it was a lovely place and Id recommend it. There wasnt much noise bleed from the other apartments, though one afternoon we did hear strains of what seemed to be Awful Love Songs from 90s Movies from our downstairs neighbours, but it was easy enough to ignore.
