Varley Paul DR

After having a bad experience with, and subsequently declining the services of an ENT the doctor selected, and referred me to (for my 2 year old son) I researched Adelaide ENTs extensively. Dr Varley was top of my list, and I could not have made a better decision. First time Mum, and first time surgery for my little boy; I needed someone that cared. I needed a surgeon that was also human, and one I could trust, literally with my heart in his hands. Not only did I get all of that in Dr Varley, I got all of that from his whole team. The girls on the phones at his rooms every time I called, staff at our referral appointment and Dr Norton, our anaesthetist, who even touched base with me again in the recovery room. This team 100% met the high level of care I wanted for my son, before, during, and after his surgery, and provided the compassion and patience that I needed as his mum. My little boy is only nine days post op (he had his adenoids and tonsils removed, and tubes in both ears) and the difference it has already made to his quality of life is incredible. Overnight of day 4 to 5 post op, he was a bit unsettled, but I can honestly say that is it. His recovery has been event free, and his pain managed completely with Panadol during his awake hours. I have not needed to wake him for pain relief. I had mums telling me the next 10 days post op world be bananas, and oxycodone would be my friend. I am very happy to report, that has has not been our experience, and I attribute that to the fantastic work of our surgeon. Thank you Dr Varley.

Its been three months since my tonsillectomy with Dr Varley (23/5/22) I truly cannot thank him enough. By the time I first saw him, I had been dealing with chronic tonsilitis for six months. At my consult, Dr Varley took 5 minutes to figure out I needed a tonsillectomy, and scheduled me in for surgery two weeks later. I couldnt believe how quick and easy the whole process was. Surgery went well and I had a textbook recovery, allowing me to travel overseas just over three weeks later. Dr Varley was exceptionally helpful - answering after hours questions and writing me a prescription without any fuss. His kindness and skill really made the whole process as painless as possible. Thank you Dr Varley - now I can finally get on with my life!
