Hilton Adelaide

Stayed here twice last week for three nights in total. First stay was average and the second stay was awful. Staff were rude and patronising. Be aware that they take a security deposit off your card and are very unapologetic about it taking a week (and in my case a week and a half) to have that deposit returned. Be aware that this is an old and tired Hilton... the room rates they charge do not reflect this and as such I was very disappointed. I am now aware that there are much nicer hotels in Adelaide for the same or cheaper prices. Don't be fooled into thinking you are staying in a nice Hotel.

An icon of Adelaide hotels. Still has rooftop tennis for those keen to play. Rooms are a good size. The only issue is noise. 15 storeys up and traffic noise is very noticeable. Very average hotel. Restaurant food was of a poor standard, limited choice and very expensive. Doesn't appear to be anywhere else within the hotel to eat. Bar staff were helpful and friendly. The bedrooms are tired and need renovating. The first room we were given was very noisy due to a broken seal on a window. I'd prefer the windows were properly sealed and double-glazed due to traffic noise. So not the relaxing stay we were desperately in need of. Room service has been slow to respond. We had to call them again. It is expensive for what is on offer. Concierge staff are helpful. Disappointing overall.
