Terrible service and terrible coffee, the shop front is obviously a trick to buy expensive and bad coffee.

As a caffeine addict, with a love for chilling at a table while working on my laptop, I was excited that a new cafe was opening in the Robina Town Centre. Foster and Black has designer seating out front inspired by a wave, Im assuming, and some seating inside around the perimeter. The tiny tables can only fit a cup of coffee, maybe two. The seating is not comfortable. Its hard and forces a person to sit straight upright. There was a person trying to work on a laptop inside, his mouse was on the little table and he balanced the laptop on his legs. He had to bend in an awkward position to balance it because the seating didnt allow for comfortable sitting and typing. He must really love the coffee. This location was definitely built for aesthetics and not for usability and comfort. The wave seating out front did have counter space to put a laptop, sort of, but it was higher than chest height while seated. Id have to stand and lean forward over the seating area. They definitely dont want people sitting for very long. The service was fast and efficient though. The flat white was just average. If you want a medium sized coffee (labelled a large) for an overpriced $6, and youre doing takeaway (or really want to work on your posture) then grab some Java here. Theres too much of a coffee selection in the town centre for me to come back. Note: I didnt want to give less than 3 stars because its a new location and am hoping they make it (and maybe upgrade the seating).
