Dr David McIntosh ENT Surgeon

Dr McIntosh made me comfortable right from the get go. He was extremely proficient and professional. He answered all my questions prior to surgery with consideration and patience. I highly recommend Dr McIntosh..a most excellent experience.

I saw Dr David today regarding my sons ongoing hypoxia and apnoea events. My son is 2 years old and has been struggling to sleep and breathe since he was born! I was initially referred to a sleep paediatrician who commenced a sleep study on him. He then diagnosed him from the data collected with OSA (obstructive sleep apnoea). My son was then referred to a different ENT who did not thoroughly check my son and also diagnosed him with OSA but unknown cause. His exact words were its probably a floppy throat and that he needed to commence CPAP. I spent $2300 on a CPAP machine through the sleep paed. Once commencing the CPAP machine at home I quickly came to realise that it was not going to work well! Try keeping a hat on a 2 year old, let alone a mask that wraps tightly around their head that not only forces air into them, but makes a scary noise that they are not use to! He was suppose to have this indefinitely! Thats when I started researching about EAR NOSE and THROAT issues and came across Dr David! From a spectator view on his YT and FB you can see the passion he has for his job but also the expertise from his lived experience as an ENT. I was so thankful when I also found out he works in Sydney often and not only QL. So todays appointment came after only a few weeks of waiting and I just want everyone to know this man is Brilliant. He was kind, thorough and informative. He is the first doctor in this whole process that actually greeted my son and got down on his level and interacted with him. Its much better than walking my child into doctors rooms and being asked to hold him down with not a word to him whilst shining a light or putting a foreign object in him! I honestly cannot commend Dr David enough! Thank you! Im also very thankful because after months of waiting for an answer it was as simple enlarged adenoids! And its due to Dr Davids thorough examination and ability to openly welcome us with arms wide open for a second opinion we finally have light at the end of the tunnel. I feel so relieved. I went with my son into this praxis. The woman behind the desk didn't even say hello, only in a very rude tone "name". Then "sit down". Dr. McIntosh was unfriendly too, consultation took 3 minutes for $220. He said my son needs an operation, shoved paper in my hands to read it and he was gone. Quote for operation was over $3000 out of pocket, not included a anaesthetist. Won't be back.

I went to see Dr David McIntosh because I had chronic sinusititis and Dr McIntosh recently performed my surgery. I feel amazing already 1 week after surgery and am able to breathe through my nose after years of not being able to. This is life changing for me!I highly recommend Dr David McIntosh and his team.
