Dr Gert Tollesson

Ive been a patient of Dr Tollesson since I was 18 Im now 21 and had 7 surgeries with him on my brain (Vp shunt, Vp shunt revisions & ICP monitoring) I have been a complex case and not a quick and easy fix for Dr Tollesson yet he has always seen me within a few days of contacting him and been very very caring every single time. He also actually listens to you, your concerns and your opinions and takes it all into account instead of dismissing what you say. I live in a different city to Dr Tollesson and have to fly to him for every operation which Ive never had an issue with because I wouldnt trust anyone else to operate on my head and i would highly recommend him

Dr Tolleson is a beautiful man who is very caring and kind. He operated on my C4 C5 and I am pain free for the first time in nearly a decade. I would recommend him definitely.

So happy with the care given to me by Dr Tollesson and his team. I was admitted to Greenslopes Hospital in really bad pain from severe spinal stenosis. I had tried opioid painkillers, physio, massage, cortisone injections but nothing was even touching the excruciating pain I was in. Dr Tollesson went through my scans with me very carefully and clearly to explain all the multiple issues with my spine and recommended surgery to which I readily agreed. 3 weeks later I was back for the op which went perfectly and I am pain free 6 weeks post op and so grateful for the wonderful care from not just Dr Tollesson but his lovey wife, nurse and admin, he has a whole team approach and they all make you feel cared for and supported. I highly recommend this doctor and his practice for spinal care.

Dr Tollesson is extremely experienced in performing a wide range of adolescent and adult paediatric intracranial and spinal procedures utilising advanced micro-surgical techniques and state of the art technology. From the initial booking with his front of house admin and accounts team to attending the appointment they are a very well oiled machine. I have had multiple and complex cervical and spinal/ lumbar operations and cannot speak highly enough of the whole process as well as the outcome. How the procedures were explained, as well as Dr Tollessons bedside mannerisms and care are second to none. He is a true champion in his field and wouldnt hesitate to refer himself and his team to anyone seeking advice, pain management or surgery in the future. Thank you kindly for all your help to date.
