This practice is totally and utterly incompetent. Booked a appointment yesterday as a new patient!!!! This morning I get a phone call from the doctor there 1 hour before my appointment telling me he cant see me because he has no details of me-etc Medicare number address, i said you have got to be joking he said no I can not see you, THIS HAS never happened to me in my life. Everyone needs to no to avoid this practice it is TOXIC. So do yourself a favour and avoid this practice

Never returning to this clinic. I have seen several doctors at this clinic over the years but can't say I am confident with any of them. Dr Bathini was the only thorough intelligent doctor they had but has now left the clinic and is practising too far away. Clinic has gone downhill since the new premises move. Some of the reception staff are quite rude.

I had been a client of the Beenleigh Family Practice, on and off, for a number of years and was taking a medication, which one of their doctors had prescribed, for a minor ailment for some time. I was planning on moving overseas and so made an appointment to see one of their doctors to learn how I could get my medication aboard, i.e. could I get my medication in the UK? The doctor there told me clearly and plainly that I could indeed get my medication in the UK, upon which he printed out a document which he signed and stamped and handed it to me. In his words, "All you need to do is take that to a chemist over there and they can fill it. You won't have any trouble. Your medicine is easily obtainable". Good news I thought, and thanked him for his time. Soon enough I was overseas and though I had brought extra medicine with me, I wanted to sort out getting my medicine there. However each chemist I went to said I couldn't get my medicine without a doctor's prescription, and anyway they don't stock that particular one in the UK. Additionally, I'd have to wait at least three months before I could see a doctor. Oh dear, this is not good, so I contacted the Beenleigh Family Practice to find out if I could get another prescription from them filled (and have a friend post it to me) so I would have enough to last me until I got my situation worked out. Several messages to them went unanswered, and when they finally did make contact it was to tell me that they couldn't help. I had naively believed what their doctor at told me, but he was clearly wrong in his advice. As time went by and my medicine began to run out, I kept pleading with them to help, but they either ignored me or suggested it was all my fault for not organising things better. At least they could have given me some quick advice on what to do over there; maybe there was some other medication I could try in the interim - but no, they just didn't care. Feeling worse and worse I had no choice but to return to Australia. I made a complaint to the medical ombudsman. Their report stated that the doctor in question had said that he never told me that I could get my medication in the UK. This is a complete lie. During my consultation with him before leaving, if he had said 'no, you can't get the medicine over there, but here are some options for you to investigate to help secure a supply', or 'you'll need to contact this or that department over there' etc etc, then I would have happily done so. But he didn't say anything other than, "All you need to do is take that (the document he printed out) to a chemist over there and they can fill it. You won't have any trouble. Your medicine is easily obtainable". So, not only did their doctor give me incorrect information, and lie later when questioned about it, but the behaviour of the management of the Beenleigh Family Practice was rude, uncaring and they treated me like I just didn't matter. They have shown themselves to be unprofessional, unreasonable and even dangerous in their behaviour and attitudes.

I am concerned, I have seen a couple of doctors at this practice. Dr Boshoff for skinchecks, seems lovely.efficient, and lovely to talk to. Dr Umesh Rawatt, first visit was good, discussed medical plan with nurse and how we would, make plans for specialists, xrays etc... As well as transfer records from old centre, Made me 3 physio appointments, and said come back when they are done.I did, weeks later...physio report had apparently not arrived, nor had my medical records, and Dr Rawat, claimed we had never discussed anything from above mentioned. It was very upsetting, i have a chronic back problem since birth, which has worsened over the years and will continue to do so, mostly i just deal with the pain, minimal meds for the problem, osteo arthritis meds, nurofen, occasionally panadine forte, i can only take one every now and then as they give me stomach cramps. Dr Rawat was very abrubt and rude, making me feel like I was just a nuisance and after 1 visit, claimed 'my problem was not a problem at all' so bad..that I walked out. I made an appointment requesting a different Dr, she was unavailable, as usual, so asked who was available, receptionist Karen, was abrupt, said,Dr Nick Khanna, I agreed, on this visit, I mentioned my experience with Dr Rawat, and said I was upset because i needed a Dr that was proactive and caring, Dr Khanna ,told me 'No, Rawat is a good Dr, I said not to me.. then Dr Khanna proceeded to go into a mini rant about so many people just wanting drugs, and it happens too often, mind you...i had not mentioned medication, and was there for kidney problem... I felt like he was accusing me of something, and left feeling like i was just called a junkie,(in lesser words)and told my feelings and medical problems are invalid, which is apparently what i am gonna be, with no care or treatment from any doctors.. an jnvalid ...are they all this incompetent uncaring and money grabbing? What ever happened to bedside manner?I have appointment with dr boshoff for skinchecks follow up, not sure where to go from here, feeling hopeless, some days i can not stand, I'm in constant pain, and spent 5 years with a doctor that did nothing about my ongoing condition, and now this... Feeling down and ready to give up. Probably be easier to get put down like a feral dog.. even they get treated better.
