CatholicCare Sydney - City office

I have known Catholic Care for past 10 yrs. Came across them when I was in Medical field. Support workers do basic minimum, mostly on mobile, had a support worker sit & write date on every page of a diary! Left an amputee's washing on line for a week. Cause him to fall, trying to take off himself. . Get clients to sign up for packages they know will send them into financial debt. Under no circumstances use this service they and workers are useless.

My enquiry was for Aged Care, Home Care Services for my father in law. The call was handled professionally and very friendly. My FIL now receives fantastic Home Care Services from CatholicCare and has bonded with his carer.

Almost 12 months ago I sought a volunteer visitor for an elderly relative in a care facility from 2 different organisations (of the 3 the nursing home knew of). At Catholic Care my request was handled by N and at the other agency, by P. N was like some study in how to stymie a process and P was efficiency on steroids: identical checks, both had a volunteer ready and available. N was so totally focussed on making herself appear important and capable, P was totally client focussed. Within 3 weeks P had a volunteer on board, after many weeks N was still protecting your relatives safety and being sure we have everything correct. After many more weeks and no progress from N, I gave up. Ps agency had no one available when I called this week for my old Dad so I had to go back to Catholic Care. I found myself in Ns hands again with exactly the same attitude and no one overseeing her who could sort her out. Shoot me now.
