Personal Eyes Optometry Sydney CBD

There are some business gems hidden within the Dymocks Building and I like that they are not the mainstream commercialstyle businesses that are like quick run impersonal franchises. I feel you get a more personal experience when you visit stand alone businesses with that old-school customer service feel. I visited this optometry for a suspected blocked gland in one eye and Mr John Della Marta had a check of my eye. He was great and referred me to Dr. Nikhil L. Kumar. What I liked is that he was attentive, and experienced, and gave an excellent referral as I was also pleased with Dr. Kumar.

Just came in to get my prescription renewed and got pressured into purchasing contacts through them, when I said how I was just going to order them online I was told oh in that case we might as well check to make sure the brand (that Ive been using for years) fits your eyes right, oh by the way thats going to be an extra $36 charge.

I have visited Personal Eyes Optometry today for a minor assistance with my glasses. The gentleman who helped me was so knowledgeable and polite that I've decided to come back and purchase a pair of Lindberg glasses that I always wanted. Awesome service, highly recommended ! Thank you.

Travelling to Sydney and found myself arriving with my only sunnies but left my prescription glasses on the uber. In need of a pair of replacement glasses urgently, I found these guys. Emailed them and John replied to pop in and I did. Less than an hour later, I got my glasses! Top customer service, reasonable price, same day if you just need a pair of long distance glasses. Amazing!

Called them to enquire about specialty high index lenses however the optician wasnt in that day. I got a call back from him (Adrian) a couple of days later after he had researched further into it and had looked into potential suppliers. He briefly went through the process and considerations and I already felt like I was being well taken care of, so I decided to drop by a few days after. Upon my impromptu visit, Adrian recalled our phone conversation and sat me down to speak to me about my options. He even drew diagrams for explanations and went through ideal materials, lenses and frames. I spent over 1 hour thereafter trying on lord knows how many frames... however he was incredibly helpful with recommendations, measurements, designs etc. even though we both knew my initial intention was just to seek further information about the lenses. The customer service was great and there wasnt a single moment where they were the slightest bit pushy. Will be coming back here for my future eyecare needs.
