I had a cataract procedure at SSC on 16/7/24. The service was exemplary. Reception was welcoming and efficient, there was the lilt of Irish laughter among the nurses and the doctors were most approachable and professional. The procedure went smoothly, and post-op, I was plied with cookies and a second cup of beautiful coffee. So , medically, a five star plus experience. BUT access by care was a nightmare. Told that underground parking was available, we scoured Belmore Rd for any possible entry. After repeated failures, we found the only possible opening was going up High St, cheek by jowel with the light rail. Just near the end, there was a sudden narrow slalom like curve down to the left. An iron horizontal portcullis barred our entry, with a post for the fortunate few with a tag. Fortuitously, my wife's repeated calls through the bars were answered by a driver leaving, who pressed some button and we were in. Perhaps some anachronistic postal edict causes SSC to be listed as being in Belmore Rd, BUT its elevated signs proudly face High St. So please, please, add to the website of this admirable facility that vehicular entry is in High St, Randwick.

I came in yesterday to get 3 wisdom teeth removed. I was very nervous. Its not something anyone wants to do. From the minute I walked in to reception to the minute I left, the standard of customer service was outstanding. The nurses did not stop checking in to make sure I was ok. Thank you so much for taking such good care of me.

Absolutely rude and discriminatory I was refused surgery based on my weight I have never been so humiliated in my life. I have had over 4 surgeries in the last 2 years but these rude and disrespectful persons felt it was ok to shame a patient When the surgeon arrived he was ok with the surgery and over ruled these horrible administrative staff never will I go back

Truely exceptional. The standard of care at the SSC was amazing. The staff were thorough, caring, and diligent. Surgery is always an anxious and unpleasant time for the patient, but I cannot imagine feeling more comfortable and cared for than I did. Of all health facilities I've attended, this was the gold standard!
