Hunter St opp Cooper St

This stop got one of those fancy electric time tables that tells you how many minutes until the next bus comes. Three seats, two in shelter, and a fair fee of oncoming buses . It also has lots of things to look at while you wait bc the buildings in front are pretty cool.

Please note that the 22 bus does NOT stop here, but turns right into Stewart Ave and stops at the Newcastle Interchange (train station) bus stop(s). There are three (3) seats available, accommodating three (3) or four (4) people each. There is no weather protection for these seats. This is the bus stop to catch buses travelling west along Hunter St and Maitland Rd, and travelling south along Tudor St if you have disembarked from the Newcastle Interchange (train station). There were some tourists who were confused on whether they were at the correct bus stop the other day, as there is very little information for tourists in the area. They were at the correct bus stop. The view of approaching buses is not great, but it is better than some other bus stops in the Newcastle area. All buses come straight through the intersection of Hunter St and Stewart Ave, and you are usually able to see the bus if it is stopped at the traffic lights prior to entering the intersection. There is a departure board for the buses that stop here.
