Steel St opp Marketown Shopping Centre

A large bus stop, but only two benches which is strangely few for the large amount of people. It has a roof and a bin, and a nice view of a colourful section of Marketown. Easily accessible from the shops with pedestrian (zebra) crossings from both sides. Buses come from around the corner so they sneak up on you - stay vigilant!

Routes 12, 24, and 47 all service this bus stop. The view of the approaching buses is limited due to the bus stop being about 70m from the corner of Parry St. The approaching buses may not be visible when the approaching buses are turning into Steel St. The 12 bus turns right from Parry St into Steel St. The 24 and 47 buses turn left from Parry St into Steel St. There is a timetable at the bus stop, at this time. The seating is adequate, providing two (2) individual seats, accommodating three (3) or four (4) people to each seat. There is a covering over the seating, providing some protection from the weather. Be aware of people hanging about, looking for 'handouts'.
