    After a series of mess ups and bad service, I switched funds and was after a transfer certificate. When I was unable to open the certificate received and called up for help, I was informed that as I am no longer with the fund, they were unable to entertain my inquiry. Out of desperation, I reached out to Dan of the Escalations Team, whom I corresponded with before, and he very kindly helped to sort out my problem. This 5-star review is for him - if I could, I would leave a 1 star and negative review for Medibank itself. They need more people like Dan!

Recently had the pleasure of meeting Rommel from your Miranda branch after he went above and beyond to return my lost wallet to me. Incredibly polite, respectful and professional. A credit to this branch.

    I purchased the Medibank Basic Everyday Starter. Misleading and deceptive conduct of advertised insurance pricing. Pricing of insurance which I purchased on their site is $2157 on 6 Sept but they took $2711 on 7 Sept from my bank account. That's nearly $600 more in the difference. That's our grocery money for the month. I am horrified they have done this. This should not have happened. I contacted them, I was told it's due to lifetime loading but that is also incorrect as they overcharged and put us in the highest percentage. If this is the case that consumers will be charged differently to what they advertise, the process should have been an insurance quote with a customer rep from Medibank call to explain lifetime loading, confirm the actual cost, get authorisation to proceed before they proceeded to take the money, otherwise this is classed as misleading and deceptive conduct. I authorise $2157 but not $2711. I feel I was misled, it's deceptive as their pricing on their site to lure you in is different to the amount they then take from your bank. I can imagine and empathise with many others whom they have done this to. I'm so put off that I am cancelling the membership. In these times where many are struggling, living costs are soaring they still choose to be unscrupulous and take Aussies for granted. I hope this review helps and this experience does not happen to you.
