Do not Use this Guy. He has a casual charm because everything he does is casual. I spent a good couple of grand replacing my gearbox only to have it die on me 2 months later, which he put down to human error. Even under warranty he refused to refund me. I found a new gearbox which he offered put in for a "small" fee. I've gone back three times with knock on problems! He was meant to box up the old gearbox and send it to the supplier. He pretends he doesn't get emails and that everything is always everyone else's fault. He is manipulative and does not know how to deal with people. You hear of the stereotypical shonky mechanic, Alex is the epitome of this. My advice? Find a different mechanic! you can't get worse!
