Dr Christopher Pokorny

Dr Pokorny is very knowledgeable and compassionate. There arent many specialists these days that treat their patients like people and not just a number . I would highly recommend him .

THE ONE PIECE OF ADVICE DR POKORNY GAVE ME MADE MY CONDITION DECLINE AND HOSPITALISED ME. I was referred to Dr Pokorny for a second opinion about two years ago. I had been hospitalised many times due to stomach issues. My appointment lasted no more than 10 minutes. He didn't run any tests or examinations and simply said there was nothing more he could do for me and that I should go home and drink Metamucil (A FIBRE SUPPLEMENT). After taking Dr Pokorny's advice, my condition continued to decline and was hospitalised again. I then found a doctor who LISTENED to me and ran one simple test, which lead to my diagnosis of Gastroparesis (a condition where the stomach does not break down the food properly and CANNOT BREAK DOWN FIBRE ie Metamucil)
