Careful of these organisations. Surgery for obesity is treating the symptom rather than the cause. These organisations leave behind a trail of shattered lives when the people who used their services realise their lives are no better for the surgery, and then try to find other things to blame for the emotional issues that they thought were caused by the obesity. It is not at all uncommon for them to embark on a course of self-destructive behaviour. Most put on a good portion of the weight they lost within 2 years, about half put it all back on and then some. Always consult extensively with an independent psychiatrist specialising in food disorders before considering obesity surgery.

After suffering discomfort and pain for nearly 15 years, SIOS connected me with an amazing surgeon who performed corrective surgery.
