My late father was a resident of Regis for just over 4 years, until he passed away in November 2022. The care that several of the staff members gave Dad was a high standard, my brothers and I were happy with the care, communication, and compassion that was shown to us on his passing, with some members of staff attending Dads funeral service. Yes all facility's can have their faults, but overall Regis Hornsby provided a good level of care for the time Dad was there.

I am horrified by Alison's review I have viewed what was said and I was in shock as well. Please review your procedures as a top priority for the sake of those who have no voice. Rest in peace Aunty

The residential care facility is a beautiful looking centre. My mother was a resident there for approx 2 years. While mobile and still able to do things for herself my mother was treated with kindness. But as her needs increased and she became disorientated with dementia. Her care declined dramatically. She fell out of bed and was admitted to hospital for a week . The infection in her legs improved at the hospital. The regis had dressed her leg with an unsterilised incontinence pad. On her return to regis she was left to sleep in a wheel chair for 2 days and two nights her legs hanging down becoming swollen and leaking. My mums behaviour was extreme but she didn't deserve this treatment. Next admission to hospital one week later. My mother had the same clothing on for three days and three nights there was feaces on the legs of the pants. Why would they treat a person like this. If they couldn't cope reachout for help. Paper work lost her spectacles lose. Horrible experience. My mum died in hospital.

WEDNESDAY 14/9/2021.Since my posting of a negative review regarding my wife's care, Regis has taken note and have considerably upped their care despite facing the lock down due to Delta Covid 19 pandemic and the added PPE and other hardships placed on their staff. This is thanks to the recently appointed and current General manager and her team. WELL DONE. FRIDAY 6/8/2021 My wife is disabled, and she requires exercise and this is currently sadly lacking. There is little care regarding a response from staff to take her to the toilet. I hope that this lacking in duty of care is just temporary due to the lock down. Prior to the Covid lock down, I was able to fulfil this lack in care provided. Today, we have waited for nearly 2 full hours for someone to respond to her call for assistance, and still no one has attended. Prisoners in jail cells are treated better.
