    1. Safety concerns I had concerns about my safety during my stay. Inside the arts factory lodge, there is a teepee area where mojosurf stays. The lodge doesnt have an entry door - the entrance is not secure and the teepees dont have a lock. This means anyone can walk into the lodge and enter the teepees. On my 4th night, I was alone in my teepee at 11pm when a man unzipped my teepee door then asked if he could sleep in one of the beds. He told me he was a staff member at the Arts Factory Lodge although Id never seen him around. It was also known to the surfers that there was a man (not from the surf camp) who slept in a nearby teepee the previous two nights and it creeped the girls out. The teepee was then secured with a lock. I believed that it was the same man going around the teepees so I phoned reception and they came to help. I would have liked for mojosurf to be more proactive about securing the teepees so that surfers can feel safe. 2. No bike hire / board hire I was hoping to get bike hire as the lodge is 15 minutes walk away from the town and beach. The website talks about free bike hire and board hire but when I asked reception or mojo staff about it, I realised that it doesnt exist. 3. Breakfast not healthy The breakfast is sugary cereals (cornflakes, coco pops) and highly processed and refined foods (white bread, ham, cheese). There were tomatoes and fruit but it was limited and most people had cereal and bread. Not the best breakfast for people who are surfing everyday. Besides this I wanted to say that the mojosurf on-site staff (surf instructors, photographer, bus driver, etc) are great.

If you're in Australia and want to learn surfing, go with Mojosurf! I did the 3-night surfcamp in Arrawarra (Spot X) and it was great! The teepee tent was very cozy and comfy, the food was good and the staff was very friendly and highly knowledgeable. I really enjoyed learning some more about the ocean and the waves, techniques and especially safety! Everyone could stand on the board after the first lesson! There are always enough instructors around to give some tips, and keep an eye out for everyone. Help these guys recover from the impact Covid had on them and come to Spot X for surfing lessons!

Me and my other friend went to spot X for 3 days. Luckily the other people who also signed up for the surf camp were amazing, we made a great group of friends. Despite this, the staff were awful, they were so rude when you would ask a question, they werent about in emergencies and there were simply no rules. There was multiple times we were close to leaving and demanding our money back due to how badly the staff treated us. The organisation was a shambles, the staff would simply go missing, no instructor for our lessons and they also didnt pick people up from their greyhound spot, due to skipping their alarm. The place is so dirty. They also sell in lots of other activities. We payed a lot of money for here, yet no photos, extra surfing, nothing was included. This stay was not worth the money and I would highly recommend against it.
