Dr Bijoy Thomas

Receptionist is unprofessional and rude, absolutely horrid phone manner towards my girlfriend Doctor Thomas was good however and I rate him, but cannot recommend him due to the the fact that you have to call and speak to reception.

My cousin is having (or at least trying to) have a knee surgery consult with dr Thomas, my cousin first got booked in for the 17th March 2023 from a sports injury clinic back in November 2022!! So we waited but my cousin was sick of not being able to walk, so she called and they rescheduled for the 1st of March. Today (1st of March) we start heading to the station to catch a train to Westmead specialist centre but end up getting a 33$ Uber because my cousins knee starts reaching her breaking point. We get there and head up to suite 10 for my cousins appointment, we got there half an hour early and let the receptionist there know but she told us that Dr Thomas wasnt there today!! And to call his receptionist number. We got outside and called the number on the appointment card and a receptionist picks up, checks their system and starts explaining how for a while they have been trying to call her because the dr was booked for surgery that day and wouldnt be available all good its fine hes busy BUT when we ask to check the number they had on file they had been calling the wrong number! We asked why if they couldnt reach her through her phone why didnt they email her cause she hasnt received anything from them (we checked with her already and she confirmed the correct email) and this receptionist says oh well we send out a confirmation email the day before well you changed the appointment date without telling us so we didnt get the email and came all the way out here for nothing so thanks a lot. Receptionist was extremely rude and made it out that is was my cousins fault making her burst into tears as shes been dealing with this for quite a while. I advise Dr Thomas to FIRE his receptionist as she was unprofessional and disgusting I am disturbed that a professional surgeon would have such an incompetent receptionist honestly

Very impressed with the level of service and care received from Dr Thomas and his receptionist. Molly has been nothing short of outstanding in her care and service. She is always friendly, polite and helpful no matter how many times I have called her. Her calm, compassionate nature has helped us immensely in navigating this situation. She is such an asset to this practice.

Amazing Dr! Was so kind with great bedside manner which can be a lost art for a lot of specialists. Very impressed with Dr Thomas, he knows his stuff. Highly recommend.

Most Doctors talk down to you like child, Dr Thomas talks to you like person. Very thorough with all the tests before deciding the best way to fix your issue. Explains everything to you. After the operation most doctors barely come to see you, Dr Thomas visits you every day while you are in hospital and if you stay in hospital for rehab he visits and checks on you almost every day. Dr Thomas cares about his patients, I would recommend Dr Thomas.
