Dr Daniel Biggs

After physical examination and MRI scan etc. decided to have surgery. Had arthroscopic surgery done by Dr Biggs on my right shoulder. Decompression of an impingement, a capsular release and repair of a small tear at East Sydney Private Hospital. The result after 4 weeks is good and should improve whilst doing prescribed exercises. Can recommend Dr Biggs! Also all nurses and staff in ESPH were excellent friendly and helpful. I can add a year later that the result is very good. The shoulder feels fantastic and I am back playing bowls and swimming. In my opinion the best possible outcome. Certainly can recommend this doctor!

Dr Daniel Biggs operated on my knee (full knee reconstruction-key hole surgery) in 2000. Nineteen years later and my knee is as though it had never been operated on. I'm in my 40's now and still jogging, playing sport and lifting heavy weights in the gym. A good surgeon has the power to no only reconstruct joints but lives as well. Thanks Dr Biggs, five stars!

This is not a comment on Dr Daniel Biggs but his receptionist from 26th Nov 2018 who sounds like she really not doing your business any favours in the tone she uses to speak to your patients. She sounds blunt and like she does not want to be there and I hope you encourage her to interact with people with empathy and kindness.

Im going to give 5 stars, because I dont want a review to bring a great surgeons google rating down. I do however want Dr Biggs to know how rude and belittling both of his receptionists are. I called this practice the week after my fianc ruptured his pectoralis major muscle. I knew the urgency of getting his pec fixed, however when I called, the receptionist was SO rude she asked me who referred my fianc, then told me theres no shoulder surgeons there,and hung up. I felt a bit silly, Id done my research all weekend on the best shoulder surgeons and I believed that to be Dr Biggs. So I went to google & after realising this infact was a shoulder surgeon, I called back, she huffed and puffed and said ugh Ill transfer you now transferred me through to the Blacktown room where the lady who answered, was also extremely rude and told me I cant get my fianc in for 2 months. I told her that my fiancs pec was hanging off with bleeding and she said like I said 2 months. Completely understand that my fiancs case isnt the be all and end all, may be to me but not everyone else, I understand. But when your receptionists treat me like an uneducated, young & unimportant person I cant help but speak up. I called another surgeons practice, they rushed my fianc in the following day and surgery was booked for the Monday as this was an extremely serious injury. Dr Biggs Im sure, like my research tells me, youre great however your receptionists are not doing your business any favours.
