I could not believe that the receptionist here can be that rude to myself and the client I was supporting. As I came in the receptionist asked what I needed, I advised that my client (which is a current patient of Dr Long) needs a form to be filled in. She retorted what form? I showed her, and she said come back at 2pm the Dr is very busy. There was only 1 person sitting in the waiting room, so I told her the patient can not come back in 2 and a half hours. We can sit and wait if that's OK. She said no, very busy... swiped the patient's medicare card and threw it on the desk, told me to sign and come back. She then walked off! Would not recommend coming to this GP's practice if you want to be treated like a human. I would give zero stars.

This has been the most awful experience at a doctors office. I was greeted with rudeness and abruptness when I approached reception. I am guessing this is the doctors wife, judging by a previous review that fitted perfectly with my own experience. She made one word responses, did not look up from shuffling papers when addressing me and would only answer my question about how long it would be before seeing the doctor begrudgingly. Soon was the intentionally vague answer. There is this overwhelming feeling that she disliked me, which is irrational because she has never met me nor had I treated her rudely, so I brushed that feeling off. As she was checking my records, she confirmed my address loudly to a waiting room full of other patients present, which is a breach of safety and privacy. I hesitantly confirmed that what she read out was my address. She then asked me, in the same sharp and abrupt tone, what prescription I needed from the doctor. This would have further breached my privacy and violated doctor/patient confidentiality, but I replied that I would like to speak to the doctor in person about it, which she did not like. I have never encountered such negligence and rudeness. At one point she was on the phone, and was shouting at the person on the other line. It was an incredibly nerve racking and demoralising atmosphere. I was going in to see the doctor about a sensitive matter, but I had to leave because this experience was distressing. I informed her that I needed to leave because I had to catch a train and her demeanour was even more abrupt than before and her face showed disdain and anger . I had to explain to a grown woman several decades my senior that its okay, it was not a big deal (downplaying my feelings in an attempt to neutralise her irrational irritation), and that I was merely informing her that I had to leave because my train is scheduled to depart soon. Her anger escalated anyway, and she replied, again without giving me any eye contact fine, go, go!. I do not recommend coming here if you would like empathy, sensitivity and professionalism from a doctors office. The doctor himself is fine, but the ordeal of having to go through his wife in order to see him is a turn off. Please be mindful of how you treat people because you dont know what they have come to seek help about and what they are going through physically and emotionally. If I could give zero stars I would, as this experience has left me in a worse place than I was in when I had come into the office.

Worst receptionist (Doctor's wife). Impatient and rude! Not welcoming at all especially when she's the face of the practice. Don't waste your time. Highly do not recommend coming here.

The doctor is alright but the receptionist (doctor's wife) is the worst receptionist I've ever seen, rude, unfriendly, unhelpful, arrogant and hung up the phone on the patients. I would not recommend anyone to go there.
