Dr Elizabeth Gallagher

Very poor bedside manner. Conducts herself in a manner that makes you feel like an inconvenience, like you're wasting her time by even having an appointment. She frequently runs late and often has no idea what your medical file says - forgets to discuss test or scan results until reminded, and at other times tried to do tests that I had already done, which means she's not even looking at the results. Even during labour, she just barked at me to push, telling me that I wasn't pushing hard enough - with not a shred of support or encouragement. Leaves you wondering why on earth she'd be in a profession like O&G that requires trust, care and rapport if she has zero interest in having this with her patients. I would not recommend Dr Gallagher for pregnancy and birth.

Dr Gallagher is a wonderful and skilled obstetrician. She actively listened to me at each appointment and was well organised and professional. My questions were addressed with pros, cons and recommendations detailed for options along the way throughout my pregnancy and preparing for birth. I felt well informed before our first appointment, as we were given information on our antenatal care journey and what to expect from each visit, blood tests, ultrasounds, hospital care, other specialist doctors, including an explanation of fees. It was fantastic to have no additional cost to make an appointment with a midwife who works at the practice if we wished. I found Nola to be diligent, knowledgeable and personable. Occasionally she ran late with appointments, however this is what happens with specialists - understandably, the business of obstetric care doesn't always follow a schedule. I was lucky enough to have her expertise and care and we are so grateful for her. Dr Gallagher was right there when we needed her, even after hours and during what was probably her lunch break. We were explained her on call roster so knew what to expect. The reception staff were always happy to help and arranged for us to see a lactation consultant, without any fuss and sorted referral letters from Dr Liz for us. We would definitely see her again for any other ob/gyb appointments we might need! P. S. She did a beautiful job zipping up my tear - like a bought one!

Dr Liz was amazing, her support staff warm and welcoming. She made the whole process of having our first baby easy and far less stressful than it would have been, from the pre-birth sessions to the birth itself. Thank you for your guidance, kindness and generosity!
