19/12/2022 WB Homes provides a 6 years warranty on their plumbing. They will not stand behind their workmanship or product a day over 6 years. I have just discovered a burst pipe in the wall (obviously this is not a plumbing that is serviceable as it is buried within the wall). This is obviously a problem that had developed within the warranty period and gradually got worse. It is 6 years and nine months since my house was completed. Obviously I will need to fix this poor workmanship / plumbing myself. My parent's home was built in 1982 by a private builder, we have not seen a single burst pipe event to date there. We chose WB Homes as they have a good reputation for building quality homes and they use good quality material and trades. I don't think that impression we had was correct. And whilst I understand from time to time you may get a "lemon" but the fact that the service team and even the General Manager choose to not accept "reasonable expectation" and stick to the hard line of 6 years warranty is disappointing, I used to recommend friends to go to WB Homes (and many have built with them on my recommendation) but no longer. Its a shame. Imagine this; you get a home built by someone, as soon as warranty is over pipes started to burst within walls and you will be left standing by yourself to tackle the problem. Not a nice place to be. UPDATE (20/12/2022) Today I had a plumber come through to fix the pipe burst issue. He advised that all the water pipe in the house installed by WB Homes were Iplex polybutylene water pipes that is currently subject of possible class action against BGC. When I started talking to WB Home's maintenance department (Home Assist) I was told categorically by them that WB Homes DO NOT USE Iplex polybutylene water pipes. Here is my question, were they lying or worst they have no idea and no control of what materials were being use in the homes that they built. I will advise WB's General Manager of this and will update this ongoing episode. Services: Home building, Luxury home building

WEBB & BROWN NEAVES DOESN'T CARE ABOUT PUBLIC SAFETY AND PUTS SCHOOL CHILDREN AND THE ELDERLY AT RISK TO MAKE MONEY. This builder doesn't care about any one except its bank balance. After watching two nearby homes being poorly built (with one requiring constant maintenance and parts of one rebuilt multiple times), having put up with unprofessional and bullying behaviour from its employees (including damage to our reticulation by the placement of a noncompliant 2 metre tall advertising sign on our verge without our consent, this company consistently refuses to comply with local council and state government regulations regarding advertising. As a building business, they are not entitled to place any temporary advertising signs, but regularly place signs, designed to draw the eye of passing motorists on both sides of an already rather unsafe pedestrian crossing location on a busy, 60kmph road. Motorists travelling in both directions are distracted by these advertising signs as they approach the (unmarked) pedestrian crossing location. Hundreds of people cross this road every day including many school children, the elderly and people with disabilities. Despite repeated attempts to have this building company comply with advertising requirements and having been verbally abused and threatened by their employees on several occasions when I have removed the signs in the interests of public safety, I now feel I have little choice but to write this review to warn people about this company. Multiple complaints have been lodged with the local council who I suspect have been paid to look the other way since after more than two years they have yet to enforce their own policy on business signs. Both local council and Main Roads W.A. clearly state that a business may only have ONE sign located on the premises of the business. A 3m tall permanent sign is located at the property boundary. It is important to note that regulations regarding advertising signs for real estate "home opens" do not apply in this case since Webb & Brown Neaves are not a Real Estate Agency and the property from which they are conducting their business is not owned by them, nor is it for sale. If Webb & Brown Neaves are this unscrupulous about public safety and unprofessional regarding treatment of people living near their building sites and business premises, what kind of build do you think you might get from them? I know of at least one person who built with them recently and who would likely tell you to choose another builder after constant, avoidable issues with their build such as unbelievably shoddy brickwork and the failure to finish roofing correctly resulting in water ingress which damaged finished internal features such as wall plaster and floor coverings. If you visit a Webb & Brown Neaves display home, take the time to speak to people living nearby to find out their opinion of this builder. We have seen what lies beneath the pretty finishes and witnessed mistakes being made that the homeowner is ultimately stuck living with. I have plenty of photos and video evidence to back up this review including video of their staff verbally abusing and threatening me and jamming a large metal spike into our verge on top of our reticulation.
