Captain Jack's fish and chips

Batter on thin piece of unknown fish was doughy and about an inch thick. Its was not very enjoyable so picked fish out of batter and threw the batter away. Fish not so fresh. Not eat here again.

Immaculately clean, friendly family-run place with good food and excellent value for money. I really appreciate the above idea of asking for the fish to be fried extra crispy - I personally found the batter a little bit doughy and think the crispy request would work well. REALLY good chips - will be back :)

Clean, cleanliness, flexible. We asked her to fry the fish until crispy. After a while she called us backside of the shop into the kitchen, to check if it had fried to the desired level. Not many people would do like this. Inside the kitchen, it was clean, oil was fresh (not brownish). We were impressed and decided to come back
