    What a fantastic place

Another poor management site. The road was blocked by falling tree. Not suitable for 2WD car. 4WD will allow you to drive all the way up to the top but need to be careful with the rocky road.

Rugged and challenging to access but beautifully quiet and serene when you get to the top. As per other reviews I wouldn't try it in a city car, but a 4WD or ute should easily handle the first 4km on Mt Black Quarry Road. The last 500m to the summit is very steep and requires serious 4WD skills, but you can also park in a clearing at the base and hike the last 500m.

Steep 5 min walk up. Cute bbq and table and some decent views.
