This location while painful to get in on rainy days, is wonderful when the weather is nice. Upon meeting the beach from the track, walk for a further 1km on the sand and the campground will lie on the way to Johnny Souey and Tin Mine Cove. There are 2 sections of campground: one that fits 5-7 tents and one that fits 2-3 tents. Theres a rope in the campsite too if you want to dry your clothes. The end of the creek near campsite has salty water, so only good for washing. To get freshwater, either get them when the walking track cuts the creek, or walk deeper along the creek agains the beach direction until water is less salty. No toilets so you have to use the bush.

5 stars for the location (campsite and Beach). The trek can't get any better with beautiful views along the way. Though it will take 6 hours, all efforts will be worth it when you reach the beach. We saw few wallaby's along the way. Getting fresh water can be an issue but we found a source just upstream which was suitable enough to boil and drink. In brief, It's an amazing experience to trek and stay in this beach side camp as all you hear at night is waves crashing the shore. As expected No toilets or any basic amenities. A must visit place

Track now impassable, fully overgrown, trees down everywhere, gate locked. Walked to beach, saw hooded plovers.

An amazing place to be at sunrise, beautiful remote beach with minimal amount of visitors, nature at it's finest similarly to the other Prom northern beaches.Tip -(5 Mile beach has large loose sand granules making it tough on the calves when walking hi and low tide lines)
