Lake Buninjon is a waterbird hotspot in the Western District on the Willaura-Maroona Road. It is seasonal in nature but it attracts Brolgas, Swans and Pelicans when the water is up. Expect to also see Egrets, Spoonbills, Herons, Stilts, Kites, Harriers, Falcons and even Wedge-tails. Camp rough overnight or arrive early and catch the wildlife in the mist.
