Don't bother it's pointless if they don't fight for the truth and make sure the patient is safe from physical and mental harm.

An absolutely amazing Legal Service who provides what Legal Aid is too Lazy & Uneducated to Provide. I highly recommend this service for those who require such legal representation, but please be advised that they have limited hours & availability, so you need to really chase them up to make sure you are on their files. After multiple failed attempts to access representation for the MH Tribunal/Treatment Orders early in my case, I finally did receive representation for a Tribunal Hearing & they were successful in arguing that an Order was not required & used very simple legal arguments to do so. This was quite a challenge to the opposing argument, who prepared themselves with extensive "evidence" (largely falsified) & were absolutely shocked at the success of the Lawyers. My only criticism is to suggest that this service is provided with additional & adequate Public Funding to do their job & provided with additional Public Funding to follow up Breaches of MH Legislation, to allow for more Lawsuits to be prosecuted against Services who break the Law. Legal Aid is absolutely useless & the State needs to be providing Legal Representation to EVERYONE who is placed on a Treatment Order of any description or length of time, by a Mandate. This service could do so much more to improve the MH Legal & Treatment System if they were adequately Funded by the Government. Given the abismal failures of Legal Aid in this area, I have no idea why this service is not receiving Public Funding to undertake the Legal Work that Legal Aid refuses to undertake themselves.
