Pack Tails Pet Care is a great service. Kai has recently started taking our Labrador out on pack walks with her pack and she has a great time. Not only does Kai assist with this and provide photos of the day. She also answers any questions regarding problems I have with on lead walking.

I adopted my dog, a boxer cross american staffie, when she was 3 years old. She was an anxious dog, and in crowded, high energy dog parks, or when confronted or cornered by another dog while on lead, she could show fear aggression. I worked on this and her socialisation for a couple of years and eventually had her attending a large day care centre once a week where she was interacting with a changing cast of up to 30 dogs. It was only when Kai, on seeing some video footage staff took of her at the day care, said she showed signs of being scared stiff - immobile, quiet and not interacting - that I realised this was actually doing her more harm. I started sending her to Kai one then two days a week, and since being part of a stable, well-ordered and supervised pack, she has completely turned a corner. Old dog park friends have remarked how relaxed she now is, not worried about other dogs and able to meet new dogs on or off leash with no fear. It's such a pleasure to see the dog she's become, how relaxed she is among her new pack friends. She adores Kai and her two constant pack leaders, Hemley and Bailey, and gets to meet new dogs all the time, introduced carefully and gradually to the pack until they find their place. Kai can see what's going on from a dog's perspective - their language - and has an amazing ability to anticipate situations and understand exactly what is needed, whether the dogs are eating together, sleeping, playing or working. She's not your average dog sitter/walker, but has a deeper connection with canine behaviour and pack dynamics. She gave me the balanced dog I always knew was in there - is in every dog!
