Happy Wanderer Holiday Resort

Stayed at the 2 bedrooms cabin there and my wife and kids loved it. Will definitely be back again and the price was very reasonable. Easy access to Mackenzie Falls and Balcony from there and about 40 minutes away from Halls Gap. Rooms: Rooms are nice and comfy with a good kitchenette.

I was last at the Grampians and stayed at The Happy Wanderer 30 years ago as a teenager and wanted to take my own family back to experience this wonderful spot and holiday park - and it did not disappoint! The HW itself was exactly as I remember and even though is a bit tired (new owners plan to upgrade many areas this year I believe) it has actually aged really well and still has all the amenities I remember enjoying as a young teen. We stayed over the Easter break and the owners, Phil and Jill, went above and beyond to make it so much fun! We had a coffee van visit every morning, Easter eggs delivered to our front door on Easter Sunday and they even organised live local music to come and play in the park for Easter night. So much for kids to do, tennis courts, pool, play ground, bike riding around the property and just appreciating tranquillity and nature and getting off the devices! We will be back! (bear in mind when reading these reviews the park is under NEW management and many of he negative reviews were before Phil and Jill took over) Just book it and enjoy!!
