The dentist is fine, but the receptionist is not that friendly, and thats the main reason I wanted to give a two star.

My new regular dentist. I woke up one Saturday morning with an excruciating pain in my left lower wisdom tooth. Thornbury Dental Group were able to set me up with an appointment within a few hours notice, so already that alone was a great relief. Once I got there, I was set up for an appointment with Dr. Kai Ooi, and really couldn't have asked for a better dentist. He was able to establish the source of the pain, wash out the offending area, and prescribe antibiotics and painkillers, which reduced the pain to a much more bearable state by the following day, and by the day after that, it was barely noticeable. I was then back a week later, having done a full X-ray in the intervening period that Kai had sent me for, and with that showing no other issues, Kai gave my teeth a very thorough clean, with great results. I was really impressed by not only the care he took in identifying and solving the source of the pain, but his general friendliness and politeness, and his careful, gentle approach, combined with am obvious dedication to doing a thorough job that produces visibly satisfying results. A shout-out to his team also (the dental assistant and reception staff), who were also very friendly, helpful and professional. Next time I need a check-up, it's a no-brainer that I'll be back here. Thank you Dr. Kai Ooi and team!
