I purchased a cake display fridge from this company 14 months ago. When it arrived we had to fit the shelves into it. They were the incorrect size and did not fit. I rang the company and was told begrudgingly they would send out some more. They did so and 2 still not fit. I rang the company and the comment was "well can't you get a saw and cut them yourself". Apart from me being a 67 year old woman, I did not think it was up to me to cut the shelves. I had no idea and still don't as how to cut perspex. The third set of shelves arrived and they fitted. A month or so later the fridge started to make an intermittent buzzing noise, which was quite loud and disturbing to the customers. A technician was sent out and he said there was nothing wrong with the fridge. It has continued to beep periodically ever since. About a month ago the fridge started to trip all the power switches. We called our own electrician and said it was not a power issue but definitely something was wrong with the fridge. Given the fact we had paid almost $8,000 for the fridge and it rarely operated smoothly, I considered that the company would honour the warranty. I spoke to Mike at Artisan Food Products. I informed him about the legal warranty conditions that exist. I believe it is an implied warranty, whereas you are to be given a warranty according to what you have paid for it and how long you would expect a warranty to be, not what the company states it will be. Mike did not agree with me but he said he would refer it to his manager, Craig. We have never heard from them again. I had tried to support an Australian company and was very disappointed with the result. If you are considering dealing with this company I would be very careful. They are only after your money and have no after sales service at all. Very poor, ARTISAN
