Hawkeye Projects

LOOK ELSEWHERE. Our project is not finished and Aaron/Hawkeye Projects has taken our money and is not returning any calls. He has not returned our repeated attempts to get in touch over the last 2+ MONTHS to resolve these issues and/or finish the project. We have acted in good faith throughout this extremely lengthy and delayed build, and have been very understanding throughout the entire process. Despite poor performance in terms of following instructions and acting in his client's best interest, Aaron has still failed to complete the project for us. To add insult to injury, he has also failed to return the outstanding money that we are owed. How are customers OWED money from a builder I hear you ask? Due to Aaron purchasing the wrong products, we were required to purchase the correct product in addition to the quoted costs. Just one example - a bath was purchased by Aaron that physically did not fit in the bathroom (You would think that a builder would be able to use a measuring tape?). To make our home a safe environment, we needed to contact other trades to complete jobs that Aaron failed to complete. For example, we needed to get an electrician to finish electrical works that the Hawkeye team had left unfinished with exposed and dangerous wires. With young children in our family regularly visiting, this was extremely concerning. Throughout completing the build, Aaron changed the required payment deadlines and amounts to suit his needs. He implied that our build would not progress if we did not pay for more (unscheduled) project costs upfront - this was ostensibly to pay deposits for the various trades, which we now know were never paid. In reading these other reviews, I have noticed one of the few positive reviews was posted by someone with the same surname as Aaron - "Heaven". I have my doubts that this was genuine following my experience. I wish I had read the other reviews before proceeding with Hawkeye Projects - another review mentions that they needed to stop him halfway through the project due to "too many mistakes". This is consistent with our experience too. Alterations to our plans were pushed on us under the guise that it would be "better", only to be invoiced additional thousands of dollars for changes we did not want in the first place. Following this extremely lengthy, frustrating and difficult experience, we have now needed to spend a great deal of time contacting the various authorities in an effort to get Hawkeye Projects to be accountable for their actions. BUYER BEWARE - Avoid Hawkeye Projects. UPDATE: As of November 2022 (3+ months without contact) we have received a single text message from Aaron bluntly advising that he/Hawkeye projects have gone into LIQUIDATION. Unfortunately, it seems that he has not informed any of his contractors, and they have informed us that he is "promising" to pay. Good luck getting any outstanding invoices paid by Hawkeye Projects!!

I'm afraid my experience with this person was worse than bad! I would have given him a minus 5 stars if there was a minus choice! Had to stop him half way through the project and tell him not to come back! Too many mistakes, arguments and my doctor's advice to put an end to it! At least I can fix the faults in peace! Do your own research and then decide!

Did an amazing kitchen renovation for our house! Very professional and was very detailed in the work. Was very happy with the end job, looked better than the plans. Would highly reccomend !!
