This unprofessional doctor keeps having Google delete my reviews even though they are in line with all of Google's policies. I would never advise anyone to see this doctor!! I had an initial consultation with Dr Maddock regarding my complaints of swelling and numbness in my legs where there were varicose veins behind the knee. Dr Maddock diagnosed varicose veins as the cause for the swelling and suggested veinous radiofrequency ablation. Based on his recommendations, I had surgery for both legs at Holmesglen Hospital. Within the next 7 months, I continued to see Dr Maddock due to ongoing swelling, numbness and overall unhappiness of the surgery. Dr Maddock continued to tell me that this was normal. After 7 months and countless consultations and concerns expressed to Dr Maddock, he admitted that the swelling may actually be from lymphedema and not varicose veins as diagnosed and treated. I then received a second opinion from a highly qualified vascular surgeon with over 30 years of medical experience and is the current State Director for Vascular Surgery in Western Australia whose opinions are, in all material respects, at odds with Dr Maddocks advice. I therefore undertook improper and unnecessary treatment with Dr Maddock and have incurred significant costs for such unnecessary treatments. There was no informed consent provided - My consent form that I was provided when being wheeled into theatre has an entirely different operation on it and therefore, different risks noted. Dr Maddock failed to consider and diagnose all possible causes of my leg problems/symptoms including May Thurner Syndrome or Lymphedema, resulting in a complete misdiagnosis. I was not provided with full and complete information about all available treatment options and was therefore not able to make an informed decision about the treatment recommended by the doctor. I would not advise anyone to see this doctor!
