Nurturing Life- Acupuncture and Mayan Abdominal Massage with April Wood

April is a genuinely good human who also happens to be an exceptional acupuncturist. As someone who has seen other acupuncturists and broken out in a sweat due to anxiety and discomfort from the treatment- I appreciate her gentle style, and willingness to stay in the room with me when needed. Her approach makes me feel safe and secure, which enhances my treatment outcomes. She has treated pretty well all members of family over the years, and is my 'go to' TCM practitioner.

April is amazing! She has so much knowledge that has helped my overall health and wellbeing. April has been able to help me instantly with issues I have presented with on the day of an appointment, but most importantly, she has also been able to help me with health issues I have been dealing with for years that nothing else has been able to help with. I started Accupunture at 35 weeks with April once I found out I potentially was going to be induced for labour (I had Gestational Diabetes). It was so relaxing seeing her and not only preparing for induction, taking care of other things along the way -such as reflux and back/hip pain. Once I was booked for induction at 39 weeks I saw April twice a week for a more intense session. In the end I had a session on the Monday evening- which again, was so relaxing I felt very in tune and prepared. I went into labour on the Tuesday and had my baby in under 3.5 hours. Couldnt recommend it more to any pregnant ladies who have had the induction card thrown at them. I escaped all medical intervention and had a natural birth.

I found April after searching for answers for 6 years. Working together to heal has only taken a short time. I always feel comfortable, guided and never pushed when I am under her care. She will continue to be apart of my wellness journey and I highly recommend her.
