        Interesting stop while driving through town. A lot can be observed by driving to the carpark and on the scenic road there.

        An interesting stop, if you have a spare 30 mins to detour from the main roads. However, there is not much to engage visitors. Little to no shade in the area.

        I didnt know this place was here. A working gold mine. Park in the visitor carpark and there is information about the mine and a great viewing area. The car park is right next to where the mine trucks disappear under ground. They appear with a full bucket of rock to take up to the crusher. Then return empty and disappear back into the tunnel. I like seeing things like this so was a real treat. Definitely worth the short drive from the town centre.
