Cool little house for a weekend getaway. Nothing fancy, three bedroom house with 1 bathroom, just the right size for a weekend away. Furniture style makes it feel very authentic, and bedding and sheets are 5 star. Perfectly clean and welcoming. Phone service isnt great, which some would argue is great. If you need your phone just walk around the house until you get your bars. Fully stocked kitchen, IGA located in Beechworth 10mins away. Closed fireplace in side (with child proof fence around) and an open fire pit out the front. Perfect for roasting marshmallows. Super quite, cold in the mornings and kangaroos right on the door step (literally outside the house while having coffee at the table)

If you want a restful escape from city life in an idyllic location, then look no further. I spent a wonderful week at this quaint little farm house on a chestnut orchard. Every morning I would sit on the front porch with my morning coffee watching over twenty kangaroos sunbake just metres away from me. On returning home from a trip into the historic town Beechworth (just 10 minutes away), I would drive back up the driveway and encounter wombats almost daily who begrudgingly waddled out of my way. I'd read my book to the sounds of kookaburras laughing and birds chirping, and breathe in the fresh, clean country air. I'd never seen so many stars at night. The house was cosy and really well equipped, and our hosts were lovely and unassuming. A really wonderful, recharging trip away from city life. Will definitely visit again.

This is a gorgeous little farm house on a beautiful chestnut farm. There's nothing quite like watching the sun rise over the trees as kangaroos and wombats wander around. The hosts were really friendly and helpful, and the house came well stocked with essentials. It's just a short 10 minute drive to historic Beechworth too -- giving you the option of a fancy meal out or one of those famous beestings from the bakery. For a weekend away in the country, I couldn't recommend this place more!
