Dr Daniel Lewis

I have had Chronic Fatigue Syndrome for 16 months. Thanks to Dr Lewis' knowledge in this field, he has prescribed me multiple medications all of which have assisted in my recovery. Thanks to him I believe my recovery is possible.

Daniel Lewis has been my rheumatologist for 14 years, since my RA diagnosis at the age of 19. Daniel is thorough and compassionate, he listens to my concerns and communicates well with my other specialists. As someone with complex health issues I feel so well cared for. I highly recommend him to anyone in need of a specialist who cares, and approaches the treatment of auto immune conditions holistically. Thank you Daniel for your many years of care, you have given me quality of life again!

I had the misfortune of being referred to Daniel Lewis by my GP. I found him to be abrasive, dismissive and condescending. His fees are exorbitant and he actually did nothing, zero, zilch to help me. After making my initial appointment, I received a questionnaire, which was too broad to definitively answer. As such, I spent considerable time writing a report outlining my medical conditions and symptoms, which I submitted with the questionnaire, prior to the consultation. When I zoomed with him, he claimed he had not received my paperwork, despite emailing and telephoning his receptionist (Tina) to ensure that my information had been received. So the entire consultation was spent with me having to read the report, he was supposed to have already read! This took half an hour and cost hundreds of dollars. He then instructed me to come in for a face-to-face appointment, where he spent his time explaining that he couldnt help me and telling me about things I could have read on the internet. He suggested that I should consult a psychiatrist, rather than a rheumatologist. Frankly...he could have stated this whilst zooming...rather than have me organise someone to drive four hours to Melbourne and back and pay for overnight accommodation. This consultation was also half an hour and this also cost hundreds of dollars. I left the practice sobbing and completely demoralised. I do not recommend Daniel Lewis and I dont think he should be practicing, in any capacity, as a medical professional.

When I walked (almost crawled) into Daniel Lewis' rooms in 2018 I was contemplating the use of a walking stick, such was my pain from rheumatoid arthritis. Yesterday I left Daniel's rooms pain free and in remission. I can't thank him enough. I appreciate his balanced approach to health care by combining western medicine, herbal remedies and meditation. I also loved how he got to know me as a person and was interested in my life. I am walking (and running) because of his knowledge, care and professionalism.
