The Emerson Rooftop Bar and Club

By far the most disgusting experience I have ever had. With certain clubs I understand there is a certain demographic that you must fulfil, however when you begin to single people out based on weight, race and gender we are going to have a problem. My first experience with this club was when I was with a group of work friends. I did not realise until being let in that the club had charged the males and certain girls within my group and told myself and my other friend that entry was free? My other friends were told only males are charged and selected females. Its one thing to be selective for particular groups who do not meet a dress code, however singling out specific people and their attributes has to be a violation of something. My recent night out however was outrageous. You think I would have learned from the first time, but the free entry kept me coming. A group of disruptive boys meant my girlfriends and I were had to go to the back of the line to save conflict. A security guard however separated myself and one friend whilst sending my other two girlfriends to the back of the line. Considering my last experience with this club and no differentiation of behaviour between us, I believe this was done due to the race of my other two friends. In addition their extreme rudeness having to pay, a great number us decided to leave and go elsewhere. I want to to emphasise that we were all sober and behaviour was in a proper manner. For this reason I will never be returning to this club again and electric will stay the go to. For the misconduct of this club I dont believe anybody should be paying or supporting this behaviour.

The service was so poor! I got a text message stating that they gave me a free VIP entry with 2 more friends. When we went there, we were directed to the rooftop bar. My friends and I were chilling at the couch where there was no "reserved" sign. After a few minutes, a staff member came saying we had to leave the couch because some other people paid for it. The staff didn't even show the courtesy to direct us to any other seats, which seemed quite rude. Anyway, my friends and I shared a space to have drinks and talk. After a few minutes, we noticed that the people who "paid" for seats left the couch empty for dancing. The rooftop bar started closing at midnight, and withput any notice, we were practically shoved out downstairs, where the space was really narrow. My point is, why send sms giving "VIP" entry, and then treat poorly? I'm not going there again.
