A pretty common sight to see long queues for Agathe. Can definitely see why - flaky pastries, plenty of options to choose from (okay sometimes too many options! not that its a bad thing except for maybe your waistline ) As much as I loved the classics, my favourites are the matcha flavoured croissant with red bean paste and the madelines. Agathe also has a small shop in the cbd - less options to choose from but also shorter queue if you cant wait. Line moves relatively fast (depending on how decisive the person in front is).

This place has a never ending line which intrigued me. They'd run out of their pandan croissants so I grabbed the kouign amann and the pandan flan. Honestly... it was okay. The pastry was flakey and buttery but the sweetness and classic caramelliness wasn't there for the kouign amann. They do have a great selection to chose from though, so the other pastries might be yum!

(Translated by Google) A real bitch. I ate one canel and it was so delicious that I went back to buy it again. There are people who have eaten twice, but no one has ever eaten once. (Original) . .. pandan 1. .

Pandan flan, baked egg custard in croissant dough. Heart shape vanilla custard in croissant dough and cherry pistachio danish black cherries and home made pistachio paste and fragipane on croissant dough. Freshly baked croissants with a wide selection of pastries! The fragrant and aromatic scent of the croissants baking fills the aisles with curiosity as the appetite increases! You could not go wrong with any choice on offer and will not disappoint. There is an extensive queue but well managed and is flowing. Must try and definitely a crowd pleaser!

Had very high expectations of this place because of all the rave reviews. The pain au Chocolat was honestly disappointing - it had a good croissant texture but chocolate was very limited to one region. The peanut butter custard croissant was quite delicious and an interesting try if you like peanut butter flavoured things would recommend. Also got the pandan custard heart shaped croissant which was mid at best - would not recommend if you dont like custard as the base was entirely custard making it a strange soggy texture. Tried the famous Pandan croissant and would say it did live up to the hype but was really the best thing out of the 4 that we tried. Amazingly, the croissants had a delicious buttery taste but were not greasy feeling at all. Overall, would recommend to give them a try, if I didnt have any expectations from the hype I would have given this a 5/5.
