South Melbourne Maxillofacial Surgery - Dr Lisa Crighton

I had put off getting my wisdom teeth removed for over 10 years due to fear - I had found Dr Lisa Crighton after a google search and decided to have a referral done to see Dr Crighton after I had read all of her wonderful reviews. During the consultation, aside from her obvious intelligence and knowledge, Dr Crighton was so lovely and warm and was able to answer any questions to put me at ease. With these things combined I knew I would be in good hands and Im so glad I found her! I had my surgery to remove all 4 wisdom teeth just over 2 weeks ago and I honestly had quite a cruisy recovery compared to a lot of stories Ive heard! I put this down to Dr Crightons expertise and efficiency in removing my teeth. Thank you again! Im glad I dont have to do it again but if I had to, I would choose Dr Crighton over and over! After suffering some dental trauma (and having visited a couple of oral surgeons) I can assure you that Dr Lisa Crighton is one of the best in the state for oral surgery. Her care and precision are second to none. Dr Crighton also excels at putting her patients at ease, with thorough explanations of steps required (whether it be wisdom teeth removal or dental implants). Dr Crighton is aware that dental surgery can be scary / confronting and goes the extra mile to keep her patients happy and relaxed. My post op results have also been more favourable after Dr Crightons fantastic work (vs other oral surgeons). She makes getting some heavy dental work done a pleasure. I really cant recommend her services enough!

I have seen Dr Lisa for numerous complicated tooth removals, a dental implant and my daughter had all 4 wisdom teeth removed by Dr Lisa when she was about 15 years old, under general anesthetics. Dr Lisa is outstanding in explaining procedures, making one feel comfortable and carrying out the procedures. With Dr Lisa I have always felt cared for and safe and she explains step by step, so you are prepared for what comes next, and stops immediately if you feel any discomfort. Her rooms don't have the usual dentistry looks or smell about them, and I think that also adds to the comfort I feel when attending at Dr Lisa's clinic. I highly recommend her to anyone who is looking for a caring, professional and outstanding specialist.

I would give 10 stars if I would. Dr. Lisa is definitely a professional with empathy. I had a scary painful situation she did the surgery and provided such good care after post ops until I was completely healed. Rare to see such empathy these days in a professional. She was always there through the process.
