Great way that Smythesdale has set up an area for travellers to do a leg stretching stop, toilets well maintained and walking around the town center to get the blood flowing you can learn a little more about this beautiful town that is proud to remain a small country town, and the history of the forefathers who built it and the pub across the road I suggest giving them a ring ahead to check country pub hours for a meal, can be a great weeknight especially if it's darts or snooker/pool night.

'History never repeats' so they say! The 'Smythesdale History Precinct' is a nice place to visit, take a break, or just look at the Local History! The 'Park' displays the old Smythesdale and surrounding 1800's Jail History, along with the 1800's to 1900's Mining History. Enjoy the area, and the 'Courthouse Hotel Smythesdale' Pub over the Road!
