Galwiji Homestead

Five stars for the comfortable, welcoming feel of a home away from home. I loved being at Galwiji to celebrate a milestone birthday, while remembering a happy family wedding day there a year earlier. There was plenty to do if we wanted to (including resurrecting rusty piano and table tennis playing skills), and peace and quiet (when I wasn't playing the piano) to just relax. The cosy wood fire was lovely, and still appreciated at the start of November, and gathering flowers for the table from the garden, including some amazing roses, was a real treat. Thanks to Bev for the welcome and Malcolm the owner for good and friendly communication. I hope we will be back!

Lovely property and a nice relaxing getaway from the busy city. We were a group of 10 and comfortably fit in the home with lots of room. The staff a lovely to deal with and were very helpful before and during our stay. The property is huge and there are many activities that can be done. We loved the bush walks and the ping pong table. The house is also full of history which we thought was amazing. Thanks for the stay!!

Whenever we have an occasion to celebrate with family or friends, Galwiji comes to mind. It is like a second home, having been here for my brother in laws bucks party, I decided to book it for a weekend away for my partners birthday. We stayed two nights and it fit 15 of us with ease. The air conditioned living area is very nice to chill in during a warm day. Outside there is plenty of space to run around and party. We will definately be visiting in the coming year.

We had a marvellous stay at Galwiji. 7 adults and 7 kids fit in the huge house very comfortably. We were there in the middle of winter and the house was so comfortable with the two wood fire heaters. We enjoyed the wide open spaces, playgrounds, boxes of toys, gumboots and bonfire! Its a homey stay including all the quirks of a family homestead - Which we enjoyed! The house has everything you need to be comfortable. Basic bathrooms but everything was clean. We wont hesitate to book again and would highly recommend.
