Dr Edmund Ek

I had breast augmentation and abdominal -flank liposuction done with Dr Edmund Ek in late September 2022. My experience so far (6 months post-op) has been excellent. I can't fault anything; starting from the booking (through YourBreast - easy to book and helpful staff), the consultation with Dr Ek (very professional, honest and made me feel at ease). The 3D scan at the consultation gave me pretty good visualisation of how the breasts are going to look after the surgery. I initially went in only for the augmentation, but enquired about the liposuction at the consultation with Dr Ek and it was very easy and reasonably priced. I changed my mind regarding the size of the implants a week after the consultation, so I emailed my new request through and the communication was passed along with no issue. Dr Ek revisited my request again right before the ops to make sure that's what I really wanted. The 2-hour day surgery was done at Vermont Private Hospital. The surgery and recovery went really well. (FYI, I'm over 40.) I only had the usual bruises, tightness and soreness; that's all - no pain! The important thing to do after the surgery is to move/walk to prevent blood clots. I took Temazepam to help with sleeping just for a week or so. The worst symptom I had was nausea from the anaesthetic (in the first week), so I took quite a bit of the nausea medication that was prescribed. The first follow up consultation happened a week after with a nurse and Dr Ek. I was given Vitamin E serum to help with the scar healing. The second follow up consultation was three weeks after with a nurse. I asked for the second one to be over the phone as I didn't want to drive into Melbourne to do it (I live in regional Victoria) and there was no issue. Everyone's recovery timeline is different. My breasts were dropped and fluffed after 2 months. I couldn't be happier.

I used Dr Edmund Ek for my plastic surgery a year ago and I am so so happy with my results. I had consultations with other surgeons and never felt comfortable with committing to the procedure, until I met Ed. He explained everything to me that I had wrote down as questions and was confident, professional and so understanding in my goals. My scars have healed amazing, you can hardly see my breast scarring and I would recommend him and his team a million times over. Thank you Ed for changing my life!!

I have just had abdominoplasty, abdominal hernia repair, and last year breast reduction and lift. I am 60, diabetic and was nervous! However, all procedures have been very successful, life altering, and without any issue. I love the results Edmund is THE ONLY cosmetic surgeon you should see. He has waiting lists for very good reason. Highly recommended. Spend the money. Get the results. I am so grateful to him.
