Rooms are basic but they are clean and the place is in a great location. The atmosphere is very welcoming thanks to the manager Ray, who makes you feel very at home and cooks a great meal for only $5. You can't beat this place for value. At first it doesnt seem like much but as you walk into the common areas it has a very homey, welcoming feeling, the rooms are simple but clean, its right next to the station and tram stops and what makes this place stand out more than other homestays / hostels is Ray the manager who goes out of his way to make you feel at home and greets you with respect and kindness and he also cooks you a pretty delicious big brekky for only $5! :) you do get a bit of road noise from Hoddle st, but you get used to it. In saying that, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at 151 Hoddle and highly recommend it to anyone whos on a budget and looking for a place to call home for a few nights! Noteworthy details: Hospitality of this place is awesome and for the price you cant go wrong! Ray is seriously the best!

Id come here again. Its a lovely little stay and the meals are just amazing! The meals are cooked fresh for you and also the outside area is little but very comfy. Its true it was a bit loud, also if you close the window its still a bit noisy but maybe thats just my room. Although had a good sleep so would come again!
