Jock Holland
My name is Jock Holland based in Melbourne. In 2021 until surgery in 2022 I had right leg pain which via MRI was identified by Mr Vellore as likely being cause by a cist and ligament expansion in my lower spine. The pain caused me to limp and to be unable to run, play tennis, chase the dog. Mr Vellore carried out surgery for the removal of the cist and ligament in September 2022, and following two months of rehab physiotherapy I have been back on the tennis court returning to comp tennis and a normal pain free life. A blessing. Mr Vellore is not the warmest person to deal with but from my experience with him I could not have asked for a more competent and professional back surgeon. Without doubt, a highly recommended medico.

Didn't get to see him or even to ask his American receptionist any questions. After I answered her three questions, she decided there was nothing she could help me with and hung up.

I sustained an injury at work which was misdiagnosed largely in part to lazy/unprofessional doctors including my GP and doctors at one of Melbournes largest hospitals. It turned out I required immediate back surgery because of increasing nerve damage. Because it was a workcover claim the insurer as they invariably do, as I've come to understand, didn't care about or understand the urgency. Mr Vellore and his team, in particular Lucy, through many phone calls and emails to the insurer helped to get the surgery approved much quicker than otherwise would have happened. At this time they kept me in the loop with their efforts, offering advice and support. The surgery was a success however, because of the delay in surgery by the insurer and initial misdiagnosis I did sustain some still ongoing nerve damage which would have been far worse if not for Mr Vellore and his team.
